Rust Preventative Paint Gloss Black, 1 Gallon & Satin Black-8OZ Chassis Saver

Chassis Saver is a single component chassis paint and underbody coating that is VOC compliant and contains high solids. It has been specially formulated to effectively stop automotive and truck corrosion without the need for primers or topcoats. Chassis Saver's unique "Rust Stopping" properties allow for direct application over tightly adhered rust with minimal surface preparation, such as using a wire brush and/or hand scraper to remove loose scale and rust particulate. For optimum results, surfaces can be sandblasted to achieve a medium blast profile.

Once applied, Chassis Saver bonds to blasted and rusty metal, forming a rock hard yet flexible, glaze-like, non-porous finish that is resistant to cracking, chipping, flaking, or peeling. It works by isolating the metal from oxygen and moisture, preventing the presence of these factors. The product cures by reacting with atmospheric moisture, resulting in a cured film that resembles that of a catalyzed finish, without the use of hardeners or activators.

Over the past 10 years, CHASSIS SAVER has been proven effective under the harshest conditions. More than 350 townships, public works departments, and local DOT fleet maintenance facilities rely on CHASSIS SAVER for the protection of snow and ice removal equipment, as well as for highway, off-road, and general vehicle maintenance.

UCP99 Gloss Black is used as a primer or finish coat and has become the industry standard for high-performance protection on all vintage truck and auto underbody surfaces, including frames, floorboards, engine compartments, trunk areas, under fenders, firewalls, rocker panels, and behind bumpers. It is extensively used on snow and ice removal equipment, saving thousands of dollars in costly repairs.

It is important to note that while Chassis Saver provides incredible rust and corrosion resistance and can be used for all underbody applications without top coating, it is sensitive to UV light (sun), and its initial appearance may change over time.
